In my last post I mentioned that Microsoft had finally lifted the update lock for the Windows 10 2004 update.
The referenced web site mentions that the lock will ensure that said machines will be offered the update after 48 hours at the latest.
As of today, however, it can be seen that the distribution has not started at all, which means that the lock still exists.
You may think what you like about it, but given the really very modest communication about the problems of the update in combination with a delay of almost 6 months, what Microsoft is delivering doesn’t seem very professional. Moreover, the Surface Laptop 3 is only one of many models affected.
