Kernel Version
The choice of kernel version depends on your requirements. If you prioritize stability over the latest features, you can opt for the long-term support (LTS) kernel. The LTS kernel is updated less frequently than the default kernel, but it is considered more stable 12. However, it may not be compatible with newer hardware and may lack some features of the newer kernel releases 2. If you prefer the latest features and don’t mind frequent updates, you can choose the normal Linux kernel.
NVIDIA Packages
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you will need to install the appropriate drivers to ensure optimal performance. The NVIDIA CUDA Installation Guide for Linux 3 provides detailed instructions for installing the CUDA Toolkit on Linux. The guide also lists the system requirements for using NVIDIA CUDA on your system. You will need a CUDA-capable GPU, a supported version of Linux with a gcc compiler and toolchain, and the CUDA Toolkit 3.
I hope this helps!
